Elisabeth Reed joined the faculty of Family and Consumer Sciences in 2008. She received her undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, and her Master of Arts in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Ms. Reed has taught fashion courses in construction, manufacturing, textiles and promotion. She is the faculty advisor for the Fashion Design and Merchandising Association and has planned numerous study tours to fashion industry locations across the United States. Ms. Reed developed the award-winning Fix It Friday program, a free clothing repair service in which students set up sewing machines in various locations across campus and the community, to fix clothing for free.
