Biography

Christina Soyoung Song, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of Fashion Design and Merchandising in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University. She received a doctoral degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has published in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Business Ethics, Personality and Individual Differences, Clothing and Textiles Research Journal, Sustainability, and Journal of Global Fashion Marketing. Her research interests lie in the areas of Retail Service Robots (RSRs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), wearable technology, 3D/4D printing, psychometrics (psychological scale measurement development) and data analytics, machine learning, and sustainability. Throughout her teaching career, Dr. Song has taught merchandising courses in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Retailing, Apparel Product Analysis, Cultural Diversity in Dress, Fashion Promotion, Merchandise Buying, Merchandising Systems & Applications, 3D Visual Merchandising, Product Development, Merchandising Perspectives, Technical Skills for Merchandising, Computer Applications for Visual Merchandising & Exhibition Design, Housing and Related Arts, and Furnishing Problems and Presentations.
