Cost

The following cost information is for estimation purposes. Fees or other expenses may change for the upcoming academic year.

Graduate Assistantships

We offer a limited number of graduate assistantships. All applicants are automatically considered for available positions. An additional application is not necessary. Students will be notified in their offer letter whether a graduate assistantship is included.

For students being offered a graduate assistantship, tuition is waived the first 3 semesters. Students pay fees during those 3 semesters. All tuition is calculated at in-state rates as once students begin pay for tuition in semester 4 (2nd fall), they can apply to be Illinois residents and receive in-state tuition.

Financial Assistance - On-Campus Masters/Dietetic Internship

The department awards part-time graduate assistantships for all on-campus MS/DI dietetic interns for their first two semesters if they meet the minimum requirement of a GPA of 3.0 during the last 60 credit hours of their undergraduate coursework.

Part-time assistantships require that the student work within an assigned area for 10 hours per week for the first two semsters. In return the graduate assistant receives a full tuition waiver for the assigned semester as well as a small stipend. If an academic assistantship is awarded for both the fall and spring semesters (as planned), the student will also receive a tuition waiver for the following summer semester. GA applications are completed after acceptance into the on-campus MS/DI program.
